These Terms of Use apply to the onlinemushaf.com website and the Mushaf mobile application (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

OnlineMushaf is a free service for reading, listening to and studying the Holy Quran. You may use it for personal, non-commercial reading and study. The Service may change, be interrupted or be discontinued at any time.

Quran Text and Content Sources

  • The Quran text is displayed as provided by its sources and is never modified.
  • Translations, tafsir, word-by-word meanings, page layouts and recitations are provided by third parties, including Quran Foundation (Quran.com) and the individual translators, scholars and reciters credited in the app. Their content remains subject to their own licences and attribution requirements; see Sources & Attribution.
  • Translations and tafsir are human works that convey meaning; they are not the Quran itself. Please consult qualified scholars for religious rulings.

Acceptable Use

When using the Service you agree not to:

  • Copy, scrape, download in bulk, sell, sublicense or redistribute the Service's content or data (for example as a dataset, feed, API or download).
  • Present content out of context or in a way that misrepresents the Quran or its meaning.
  • Use the Service to promote hatred, extremism or misinformation, or alongside unlawful or inappropriate material.
  • Interfere with the Service, its security, or other users, or exceed reasonable use of its resources.

Sharing individual ayahs or links with others for personal, non-commercial purposes is welcome.

Accounts and Your Data

Reading without an account is always possible. If account features are offered, you are responsible for your sign-in credentials, and you can ask us to delete your account and data at any time. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We work carefully to keep the text, translations and audio complete and correct, but we cannot guarantee that the Service is error-free or always available. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when published on this page, and the date above will be updated.
